Sell Handmade Items Online!
Tags: Business and Economy, Crafts, Environmentally friendly, Etsy
Lots of people are trying to sell handmade things online right now. The economy has hit everyone hard and selling your handmade items in a web venue such as Etsy, Artfire or 1000 Markets can be an ideal way to bring in some additional income.
When you sell handmade items online, you receive a much more broad audience than you ever could at a brick and mortar store or a craft show. For instance, Etsy reaches over 2.2 million people a year! You just can’t compete with that level of attention! So it’s in your best interest to sign up to sell with one of the varied online venues that are so popular today.
I highly recommend Etsy because my own Etsy shop, where I sell handmade fingerless gloves and eco friendly accessories, has been so successful! I just started in September of 2008 and have made, on average, $800 a month since then! That’s quite a chunk of change!
One thing I love about selling handmade items is that I can be so proud of the items that people buy because I know how well they’re made! There’s a certain pride that comes with putting out a great product that is unique, usable and affordable! I love it when people return great feedback for the products they receive from me!
If you are interested in making additional income, you should consider one of the venues where you can sell handmade items! You can do what you love while earning an income – what’s not to like?
